The price point for the basic service is generally lower.
Cons:
Proprietary phones are required; the phones are not SIP-based. Can’t take phones home or anywhere else. We found out the hard way that their servers are housed in a single data center and so there is no redundancy.
Other Thoughts:
It is a little odd that mostly all other reviews of Univoip were submitted on one day with perfect scores! Their solution is more like a managed solution then hosted and generally limited to voice. They don't office Instant Messaging, Presence, or Video. They can only offer their service in Southern California.
