Ring Central Review: Going Out Of Business

Pros:

When they are working, they work well. They have had 2 serious outages in the last 30 days, it is time to leave RC. They will not credit you back time... at least not much of it. I don't think they will be around long when their systems don't work.

They will not talk about their reliability. They offer no service guarantee. that should tell you something right there.

The service is very cheap.

Cons:

I used RingCentral for over a year. We had 4 offices. The price was definitely right. They suck because

Tech support is AWFUL!!!! You will spend have your life talking to some idiot over seas. They lock their phones. Be careful buying RC phones.

Other Thoughts:

If price is your main issue, then RC is great choice. If you are looking for rich feature set, RC is a huge mistake. I also was rubbed the wrong way when I was trying to cancel. I cancelled on 2/3 and they charged me for the entire month. I asked to be pro rate and the woman helped said she couldn't. She said her supervisor unavailable and would email me later.

Pros:

Have had the service for almost a year and couldn't be happier. Had some implementation problems at first that were well taken care of by their offshore support staff which speaks perfect english and very competent.

Cons:

One instance of downtime in last year. Back up in about an hour. Not really a con: The one thing that could improve this service would be if they came up with IVR.

Other Thoughts:

I'm so glad I stumbled across this company. I can't find any other company that offers the offerings they do at the prices they offer. I have 4 local numbers, a toll free number and a toll free fax number for $99 per mo. They have unlimited extensions which is valuable for me. I have 30 remote salespeople and workers and the system sends their calls to them seemlessly and with excellent call quality. Essentially unlimited incoming and outgoing calls and faxes. A great web management interface. I can't say enough good things about this service.

Easy to sign-up, lots of minutes

Service and website down, very bad quality sometimes

Other Thoughts:

These guys have ads everywhere and definitely paid lots in awareness. Quality and service drop off significantly shortly after the honeymoon period.

Our experience with Ring Central was excellent from the start. Our salesperson, Sabrina, was well-informed and responsive, our implementation person was experienced and spot on and the service and features were everything that we had hoped for. We operate a customer service center and the features and reporting that RingCentral provides us is heads and shoulders above other providers that we have tried. Definitely THE leader in cloud-based business phone systems.
