Excellent service - never had any down time in 2 years. Great features, and very competitive international rates.
Cons:
We have several offices around the US and had to port numbers from several different carriers, which does take some time. But in the end, GlobalPhone delivered, and all phones are up and running.
Other Thoughts:
I have no regrets in choosing GlobalPhone.

09/20/10Pros:
I have looked at over 10 different hosted VoIP providers including Verizon, Speakeasy, and CBeyond, among others, and GlobalTone was the best solution I could find to combine all the features I need, and a low cost, reliable solution.
Cons:
I bought Cisco phones a few years ago. They work great, but I wish now that I went for Polycom HD phones. I'll likely upgrade in the near future as we roll out more offices.
Other Thoughts:
Hosted VoIP is definitely the way to go for any SMB. I looked at Avaya and Shoretel systems that would have cost $50K - $75K, and now I get all the features without having to pay for the system.
GlobalPhone Review: Very Satisfied!
09/16/10Pros:
I made a switch to VoIP a couple of years ago and these guys seemed like a logical choice. They have been in business for over 15 years, and offer great customer service. I love the Polycom phone and all the great features. Quality is perfect!
Cons:
This is not as simple as Vonage or a consumer grade VoIP. There are tons of features - some I will probably never use. But it is nice to know that the system will grow with my business.
Other Thoughts:
For reliable, cost effective service, I don't think you can beat GlobalTone! I tell all my friends about it. Definitely the way to go for any small business.

- Works with both Polycom and Cisco phones
- Simple and clear billing statement
- Great international rates
Cons:
- Small company compared to Verizon
- Fax and conference seats are billed separately and not part of an all-you-can eat package
Other Thoughts:
We have been using this service for a long time. It is very flexible and grows with our business needs. We have recommended GlobalPhone to many other companies and we think they are a great company. Management and customer service are very responsive.

I would say that to help yourself, have a back up for your internet. We added a workgroup switch and had AT&T run us a DSL so when we loose Charter Cable again we still have a backup for our VOIP.
GlobalPhone Review: Pelion Financial Group
03/20/09Pros:
Global Phone has provided good call quality with zero downtime (only outages have been caused by the ISP). They have worked with us to meet all our needs including some complex shared call appearances and call recording.
Cons:
They can be slow to react to minor requests for changes (name changes, etc.) and often make mistakes implementing them. Sometimes they loose track of requests all together. Also we have had some minor problems with call quality to South America
Other Thoughts:
Overall, I think this company provides a great service for the value. For the cost, I do not think you can do any better. Furthermore, they willingness to work to meet our requirements was a huge advantage over other providers like M5, which simply could not provide the services we were looking for (specifically shared call appearance w/ call recording). Also their sales team is very friendly and knowledgeable about the product. They were very quick to implement new services for us and have made many changes on the fly without disrupting service.
